Daniel Salinger
Daniel Salinger is an attorney practicing in the areas of criminal law and personal injury.   Mr. Salinger received his Bachelors of Science in Business with an emphasis in Economics from San Jose State University.   He went on to work as a staff accountant with Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisors before attending law school at UOP’s McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.  While in law school, he earned many top honors including induction into the Traynor Honor Society and entry into the ultra academically selective society of the Order of the Coif before graduating with Mc Georges’ highest honor of Great Distinction.

Professionally, Mr. Salinger interned at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office where he was exposed to the world of big city criminal prosecution and developed love and respect for the area of criminal law.  In 1996, while awaiting results of the bar exam, Mr. Salinger went to work for a well respected personal injury attorney where he diligently learned the area of practice.  Ultimately, Mr. Salinger decided the best way to serve the public was to establish a local practice offering services in both of criminal law and personal injury.  The Law Offices of Daniel Salinger were established in Elk Grove in 1997.  The local area was booming and Glen Van Dyke came aboard and Salinger Van Dyke was born.  Over the last ten years, both Mr. Van Dyke and Mr. Salinger have been providing quality legal services to local residents in their respective area’s of practice.   Mr. Salinger lives in Elk Grove with his wife and three children.  When not working, he is likely to be found at one of the many great local eateries, running or biking through the local streets or on the sideline of the soccer field cheering for his daughter.


Glen A Van Dyke
Glen A Van Dyke is an attorney who specializes in civil litigation with an emphasis in construction litigation.  Mr. Van Dyke graduated from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 1996 with Distinction and earning a membership with The Trainer Society.  Prior to law school Mr. Van Dyke graduated from California State University Long Beach with honors in a degree in political science.  While in college, Mr. Van Dyke supported himself and his education by working for an engineering consulting firm performing construction and environmental testing.

After Law School Mr. Van Dyke chose to stay in Northern California and practiced environmental and construction defect law as an associate attorney.  After two years of legal practice Mr. Van Dyke and Mr. Salinger made the decision to partner and form the law firm Salinger Van Dyke.

Mr. Van Dyke has represented thousands of residential and commercial property owners and homeowner’s associations in actions to resolve construction problems with their homes and buildings.  Mr. Van Dyke emphasizes in his representation the goal of achieving for his clients the home or building of the type and in the condition that was initially promised by the builder.  While the goal is simple in concept Mr. Van Dyke uses his expertise in complex litigation, modern construction practices, advocacy, negotiation skills and his understanding of insurance coverage issues to achieve the desired result for his property owner clients.

Mr. Van Dyke has also developed a specialization in representing small contractors who find themselves in litigation arising out of their work.  He is adept at reaching a negotiated conclusion when appropriate or litigating invalid claims achieving victories for his clients in an economically efficient manner.

Mr. Van Dyke has also represented associations against big business and government in complex commercial litigation involving breach of contract, unlawful business practices and breach of fiduciary duty.  
           
Mr. Van Dyke has attended and presented numerous seminars on construction practices, mold related property damages and personal injury.  He has also attended the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College Regional Seminars and several continuing education courses in complex litigation.  He is a member of the American Association for Justice.  He is married to Stephanie Van Dyke and lives in the Land Park community of Sacramento with his wife and two dogs.
